With hockey in the family tree, Derek is a 3rd generation pro hockey player with a plethora of experience and understanding in the world of hockey. Born in Green Bay, WI, Derek resided 3 blocks from the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field, Home of the Green Bay Packers. Derek practiced and played hockey constantly as a youth; on ice/off ice, outdoor/indoor. At 17, Derek left home to pursue his hockey career and passion for the game, and moved to Sault Ste. Marie, MI where he captained and led the team in scoring for the Midget AAA Soo Indians. From there he went on to Jr A in the USHL playing for the Green Bay Gamblers in their inaugural season, and then to the Omaha Lancers the following year. Derek played 4 years for the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, National Runner up in 1998, and graduated with a BS in Business Administration. He played 4 years in professional hockey, were he met dear friends and traveled most of the country playing the game. Derek and Klage both played for the WHPL’s Monroe Moccasins, and remained teammates the following 3 years; winning the WHA2 championship together in Jacksonville, FL. Derek coached 3 youth teams in 2004-05 with Klage’s brother, Karson Kaebel of the Dallas Ice Jets, where his teams won President’s Day tournament championships and a Silver Stick regional championship. Derek as trained and coached kids all throughout his playing career, and for the last 12 years in Tulsa. Derek has played with or against elite hockey players most of his career, ranging from NHL to Jr A level players, and has a passion for developing youth to have that same opportunity. Derek has been married to Grace since 2003 and they have 2 children, Booker and Liv. They consistently attend and serve at their church. Playing Career 1993-94: Sault Ste. Jason Jaworski has a passion to bring today’s youth to the Next Level. Hailing from Buffalo, NY, where he was born and raised, Jason quickly grew a passion for hockey at a young age. Growing up in Buffalo meant year round hockey, which was a stepping stone to his success. Since his childhood, Jason has made it to the Next Level through the vast amount of training, expertise, and exposure that he gained on his incredible journey to pro hockey. Jason has had many personal and team accomplishments throughout his career which include: All Star teams, top 5 Defenseman scoring for NAHL (96-97), OPJHL (97-98),USHL (98-99) and UHL (04-05), 2nd team all USHL (98-99) and 2nd team all NAHL (96-97). Jason was inducted into the West Seneca Sports Hall of Fame in 2007 for his accomplishments while playing in high school at West Seneca East High School. Jason now enjoys working with young athletes both on and off ice to improve their overall skill. He is a certified skill/strength coach. Throughout his playing career, and now in his post player hockey life, he has had the opportunity to train some of the best hockey players at all levels. He even had the chance to work several years with Red Bull and the Red Bull Crashed Ice division. Jason works with the USHL's Sioux City Musketeers as a Skills/Strength Adviser along with other high end AAA programs throughout North America. Klage has a lifetime of hockey experience and wealth of hockey knowledge. Born and raised in Pekin, IL, with 2 brothers, Butch (12 yr pro) & Karson (8 yr pro). Klage played youth hockey at the AA level and won an Illinois State Championship and National Runner-Ups. Klage has always enjoyed seeing kids develop as hockey players and has a passion to see players achieve excellence.Growing up under the philosophy instilled by his father that hard work & discipline can take you far in life, Klage went on to play Jr. A in the USHL at the young age of 16. Klage played 4 years of Junior hockey and was the leading scorer of his team and a USHL allstar his final year of juniors. After that he gained a full hockey scholarship to the University of Alaska Anchorage (WCHA) where he played – prior to playing 6 seasons of pro hockey. Klage enjoyed playing 4 seasons in Tulsa and was the fan favorite in the 2002-03 season. After many years of playing at the junior, college, and pro level, Klage is excited to bring his ability to the youth hockey players in Tulsa. Much of the philosophy and training that Klage instills in his players today is due to his being taught by Jack Blatherwick for 5 years. Jack is one of the premier trainers in the world and currently works with the Washington Capitals in the NHL. After retiring Klage stayed in Tulsa and has worked with Tulsa youth hockey players for the past 12 years. Klage is looking forward to training Tulsa hockey players to be future Junior, College, and Pro stars. Klage resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his wife Brooke and their 3 sons Jaxson, Jett, and Jase.
